Journal
The Journal consists of three tables: Main, Orders and Position
Main Journal table
The Main Journal shows the instrument data, position and account information.
You can scroll up or down by means of the keyboard arrows, mouse scroll or the table
scroll bar. The position's parameters shown here are at the time of closing the
bar. More data for the selected bar is displayed in the Orders journal table
and in the Position table.
- Bar No - the current bar number
- Date - the date of opening the bar
- Hour - the hour and minutes of opening the bar
- Open - the Price Open of the bar
- High - the Price High of the bar
- Low - the Price Low of the bar
- Close - the Price Close of the bar
- Volume - the tick volume of the bar
- Direction - the position's direction at the time of closing the bar
- Lots - the number of position's lots at the time of closing the bar
- Action - the last market action for the current bar
The possible actions are:- Open - opening a new position
- Close - closing the position
- Add - adding lots to the current position
- Deduct - deducting lots from the current position
- Reverse - reversing the current position
- Transfer - transferring the position from the previous bar
- Price - the current price of the position. When we open a new position the price is corrected with the spread. For a long position the current price is equal to the price of the position opening increased with the spread and for a short position - reduced with the spread. When the position is transferred to the next day, the price being corrected with the rollover fee (the swap number multiplied by the position lots).
- Curr Res - the current result from the position in pips - calculated as:
- if the position is not closed - like a difference between the position's price and the bar Price Close
- if the position is closed - the current result is equal to the position result
- Account Balance - the account balance in pips until the current bar
When you select a row the Orders and Position table will be updated to show the information for the current bar.
Orders Journal table
The Orders Journal shows the orders sent during the selected bar in order of sending.
- Ord No - the order number
- Direction - the order direction
- Buy - the order buys lots
- Sell - the order sells lots
- Type - the type of the order
- Market - the order deals at the current market price
- Stop - for a buy order - the order price is higher than the market price and for a sell order - the order price is lower than the market price
- Limit - for a buy order - the order price is lower than the market price and for a sell order - the order price is higher than the market price
- Stop Limit - the order is essentially a combination of a stop order and a limit order
- Lots - the number of order's lots
- Price1 - the order price (for a stop limit order - the stop price)
- Price2 - zero (for a stop limit order - the limit price)
- Valid - the order validation period
- EOP - the order is valid until the End Of the current Period
- Unlimited - the order is unlimited
- Status - the order status
- Exec - the order is executed
- Cancel - the order is canceled
- If No - when there is a number different than zero in this cell, this means that the current order is attached to a order with the specified number
- Sender - the order was set by:
- Open - the Open Strategy
- Close - the Close Strategy
Position Journal table
The Position Journal shows the deals accomplished during the selected bar in chronological order.
- Direction - the position's direction
- Long - we are in a long position
- Short - we are in a short position
- Neutral - the position has been closed
- Lots - the number of position's lots
- Action - the last market action. The possible actions are:
- Open - opening a new position
- Close - closing the position
- Add - adding lots to the current position
- Deduct - deducting lots from the current position
- Reverse - reversing the current position
- Transfer - transferring the position from the previous bar
- Ord No - the order number
- Ord Prc - the order price
- Price - the current price of the position corrected with the spread and the rollover fee
- Curr Res - the current result from the position in pips - calculated as:
- if the position is not closed - like a difference between the position's price and the bar Price Close
- if the position is closed - the current result is equal to the position result
